Easter in Angola!!!

Hello All!!!

Some of you are probably waiting to know how is Easter time in Angola!!!

As for most of you, Easter is not only a religious season, but also a 3 days' weekend!!!

As for most of you, if you had a 3 days' weekend with sun and warm weather... what would you like to do? Travel!!!!! That's what we did.... we drove south, direction to Sumbe, where we would spend these fine days!

Sumbe is a small and quiet village, along the sea... nice to stay! Sumbe doesn't have much to see, to be honest, except for the Water falls, also called "Cachoeiras do Sumbe" or "Quedas (de água) do Sumbe", and if you ever have time, you have to know the road to Gabela!!! Wonderfull red sanded road till Gabela, a small village up hill !!!

Sumbe by Night is also fun!!! You have to try the Karaoke nights!!!... For sure we are known for the singing show!!!! We're definately famous there!!! .... and, last but not least, the very famous disco!!! ... small but very funny! And all that Kizomba.... Ummmmm!!! "Roda no ar!!!"

Here are the pictures for you to see! :)

Enjoy!!!

The picnic stuff.... fresh drinks, tasty cake, Yammii cod-fish cakes!!!

... on the road.... around 492 Kms far (I didn't know it was so much.... but it is what Internet is telling me!!!), south from Luanda!

Lunch time!!!! .... as always, even while eating, we laugh!!!

On the way to the Waterfalls..... I simply love this small village.... don't know the name.... don't know how to get there.... but it's sooooo lovely to see!!!

What to say.... these kids don't have anything.... never will.... but at least they had lunch that day!!!

Yes.... it happened.... not so long ago!!!... When leaving the car, I had this under my feet!

The old bridge! ... distroyed during the long war!

Do you know me? Hellooooo!!!

Typical colonial house!!!

The wonders of Angola!!!
